Mother Son Hoedown

A few weeks ago, Connor and I enjoyed a special date just the two of us for a Mother Son Hoedown at the kids' school.  It was the first one they've had and it was fun!  I wasn't sure what to expect going into it, but Connor was definitely looking forward to it.

So we got ready and dressed the part!

Connor had recently been to Applebees, so insisted that his favorite restaurant was Applebees and that's where he wanted to go to eat on our date.  This little cowboy obviously didn't have a nap at school this day, and fell asleep on the short ride there.  I let him sleep for a while when I parked in the lot and then woke him and off we went on our date.

Once we got to the Hoedown, there was a lot of this...running around and boys being so silly.  Connor was having the time of his life.  And my eyes were glued to him, smiling, as he enjoyed every second of this free for all.

Lily stopped by with her daddy to take some pictures and to watch the square dancers perform.

And then she sat down with a snack and watched mommy and Connor learn some square dance and line dancing moves.  Connor did great and was definitely interested in doing the right moves and following along!

It was a great time!!
