A moment

This was just a moment. A moment shuffled between a million others. But this was such a special moment for me. 

Just me and my girl. 

We were visiting my sister and brother in law and while Connor was happily playing in this mess...

...I took some time to just be in a happy place. The sun was shining. It was nice enough that I didn't need a coat. So I sat on the beautiful porch with my head tipped to the sky. I felt the warmth on my face. Just like I love to feel it all summer long. 

And lily danced her way down the stone path to the "playground" ("momma we built this for Wyatt!  Do you remember?!"). Pony tail bobbing happily. Looking so grown up and so childish all at the same time. And for a while I just watched. And literally soaked her in. And then I jumped from my chair and mimicked lily girl, danced down the path and jumped on the swing next to my girl. And swang and giggled and smiled with her. And followed her around. And talked about how we want to play secret garden here this summer when the gardens are full of green plants. And we set up tball. Kicked balls around. Drew a hopscotch. And then took this picture. And I held her close and told her how much momma loves the sun. And told her how I love to tilt my head back and close my eyes soaking in the warmth. She loved it. And tried it herself. 

And I knew it was an important fact for her, because when her brother arrived and joined us for brunch on the porch, she told him three times that mommy loves the sun and if you close your eyes, you'll like the sun and it won't hurt your eyes. 

I literally don't want to forget this moment. Or the one when she walked her way back to me along the stone path, just dancing along in her own wonderland. And I'm so happy I took a picture. She is so beautiful. So amazing. And just so so beautiful.
